Brief Description

Article 18 of the Law on Elimination of Violence Against Women prohibits a person from forcing an adult woman into prostitution. People who are guilty of this offence will be sentenced to long term imprisonment of at least 7 years. If the victim of trafficking is a girl who is not an adult, the perpetrator shall be sentenced to long term imprisonment of at least 10 years.
